Resolutions Are Great, But What Is Your VISION.
Good morning Warriors!
Today I have been talking to all of my students about one simple word... Vision.
You see the new year is a great time full of fresh life, and new beginnings. People make resolutions, write down their goals and feel empowered.
In fact, this is one thing that I LOVE about the New Year.
One of my greatest passions in life is seeing people happy. Seriously it is...
So when this time of year comes around and people start to get motivated, when they start hitting the gym more, or trying some new recipes it is great.
I love the fact that so many people are ready to give upvissmoking, give up binge drinking, or perhaps even focus on more QUALITY time with the kids.
These thoughts, these ideas....they make me excited. Excited to hear, but excited in anticipation because inside I KNOW each and every one of the people that make these resolutions...have every capability to achieve them. I KNOW that they will succeed.
The new year is a great time to pick up new habits, break old ones, and simply begin anew.
But sadly only 92 percent ACTUALLY succeed.
Does that mean that those people that failed don't want it as bad?
I think not...and here is why.
You see most people want to change, but the lack a vision.... They don't understand what it is they are really chasing after, or what they really want.
You see, I was telling my students about how Sylvester Stallone, although he was DEAD BROKE, turned down $125,000....then $250,000...and then $325,000 for the script to Rocky.
He sold it for a measly $35,000 and some royalty writes.....not because he didn't need the money....but because he had a VISION.
In his mind, He absolutely HAD to play the lead character in the movie, and when the producers turned him down...he waited it out until they could come to some agreement.
He had a VISION of what he wanted....and he didn't let rejection NOR the opportunity get in the way. He didn't just hope that he could play the lead role, or sell his script....HE KNEW THAT HE WOULD.
So do you think turning down $325,000 is hard...imagine doing it when you have no heat in your apartment, and after your wife just left you because you sold her jewelry to pay the rent...THAT'S HARD... But his VISION was stronger.
So When people tell me they are going to lose 25 lbs or 50 lbs or even 100 lbs....I totally believe them.
Because in my vision, EVERYONE that steps foot in my dojo, or asks me for advice.. will succeed. They have it in them. EVERYONE does....but it is my job to help them develop their VISION.
I know it isn't always going to happen overnight, and that it is a long bumpy journey.
But with a vision, all things become reality.
So my question to you all, What is your vision?
Because I guarantee you, that if you find it...you will succeed.
If you aren't sure how to find it....email me, I am more than willing to help.
It is 2017 this year. I am excited to see all of your resolutions. I am excited to see you succeed....
just remember one thing....
DEVELOP YOUR VISION.
